Since its inception in 1992, the International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians has always been the platform that brings together young musicians from all over the world to demonstrate their abilities and get to know the culture of other countries. We strongly believe that music should carry on the ideals of peace, mutual understanding, love and brotherhood, because it is a universal language for people of all ages, races, genders and religions. Music, more than any other genre of art, can overcome and heal spiritual wounds. Thanks to different cultural traditions based on the mutual respect, people can understand each other and continue to move forward.

Music must and will remain out of politics and we strongly oppose any form of discrimination. In the current situation, our main priority is to ensure the possibility of participation of all young musicians who have expressed a desire to take part in the Competition. In this regard, the Organizing Committee of the Competition decided to postpone the dates of the XI International Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians. The format and dates of the Competition will be announced additionally. The Organizing Committee of the Competition expresses its sincere gratitude to all participants, their teachers and parents for their dedication to art and the ideals of humanism.
